What is ManagePC?
ManagePC is an open source application for PC management and inventory in Windows environments.
Using ManagePC you can inventory all aspects of PCs on your domain including:
Hardware
Services
Software
Hot-Fixes
Processes
Local Users and Groups
Manage PC also lets you take control of PCs through familiar interfaces. Use remote desktop, VNC, reboot, start/stop services, uninstall software and more directly from the ManagePC interface.

History
ManagePC began life back in 2005 as an .HTA script. Development moved to the .NET framework in early 2006 as it was felt that this would offer more functionality and greater room for improvement. In November 2006 ManagePC was made available to users without Active Directory
